Of course, it is all predictable – that is a given for any underdog story anyway, isn't it? None of them get your attention, let alone make it pique. The story by itself is like any other sports drama except that the drama is just not enough. In fact, that is what a lot of Freaky Ali ultimately is, an attempt at slapstick comedy with a coherent story. The other performances are like those you would find in any other loud, slapstick film. It actually, physically hurts to not like a film with an actor of Nawazuddin Siddiqui's calibre. Nawazuddin Siddiqui's dialogue delivery and body language lends them some dignity and hence make them tolerable. In fact, a lot of them are outright cheesy. Sure, he is given plenty of analogies as one line quips. This is where Nawazuddin’s character challenges him saying it to be easy, The man asks Nawazuddin to show it, Nawazuddin putts the ball in just one ace for he has a gifted natural swing, This not only surprises the man but his caddie as well who knows Nawazuddin.Ali is as uninteresting a character as it can get. Nawazuddin’s character confronts the man who tells him to wait while he finishes the hole.
His fate turns when one day he and Arbaaz goes to a golf course to collect extortion, after waiting for many hours for a man to give him money.
